Selecting A Great Background for Your Video
Whether you are in a video shoot or are having a video conference, the background you choose is more important than you may think. While most people often choose to go with natural surrounds, they sometimes end up displaying things they shouldn’t have displayed. If you are looking for video backgrounds, here are some things you need to keep in mind.
Ensure the motion isn’t too fast
The last thing you would want to do is to make it harder for people in the video chat to focus on you. However, this is only possible if the video background is not moving very fast. If you are going to use any background that involves motion, make sure it is not too fast and appeals to those who are in the webcam with you. When moving too fast, backgrounds can also hinder experience when trying to read text on the video.
Your presentation and background should complement each other
The background you select should be in line with your presentation or else it might put off your audience. Using a background that conflicts with the views of your audience or doesn’t appeal to their moral grounds isn’t ideal. You should, instead, go for backgrounds that will help you communicate your message very clearly.
Select an uncluttered design
Having a solid background on your video is ideal since it allows you to visualize any aspect you would like. On the other hand, very busy backgrounds may interfere with the text display among other elements, making it hard for your audience to figure it out. Not only will a solid background make your video eye catching, but it should also enhance it.
Don’t use looping unless it is needed
It isn’t commendable to use looping, but if it does help you convey a message better, then you should definitely use it. However, make sure that the loops you select are integrated perfectly so that it becomes quite hard to detect the starting point and end point. Put more effort into achieving a seamless look that is more appealing. When choosing background loops, don’t rush in similar fashion to selecting a solid background if you are to make them appealing.
Select the right type of encoding
When choosing a background, you should also consider the encoding it uses to make sure that it is compatible. You shouldn’t go for heavy formats that make it hard to stream the video under normal circumstances. Remember the right resolution and the frame too. If you are using plugins, also make sure that those you select work with any background when you are adding texts.
